Chiefs Top Tides, 9-7
The Syracuse Chiefs and Norfolk Tides put on quite a show.

The Syracuse Chiefs overcame a fine performance by Norfolk designated hitter Grayson Burdick to defeat the Tides, 9-7, at Harbor Park. Burdick went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Harry Milka came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 4-2. Wildman Mercado converted his 6th save in 6 tries.

Syracuse used the clutch hitting of Sean Felton to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Chiefs the lead, 8-7. For the game, Felton had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Felton.

The Chiefs improved to 26-36.
