Bisons Bats Go Cold Against Barons
|
Birmingham beat Buffalo on the strength of starter Hunter Vandi's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-0. The Barons go to 28-35, putting them 8th in the International League Southwest Division.
Vandi dominated for Birmingham, raising his record to 6-2. Buffalo hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 4.
"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Birmingham manager Chase Barnes.
