Bats Edge Past Dundies, 3-2
|
People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
Louisville Bats starter Cecil Valentino hurled his team past the Scranton Dundies, 3-2. Louisville pitcher Rey De La Rosa got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Lucas Deveney got the loss.
Lamarr Blanchard was the walk-off hero for Louisville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bats third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This wasn't a good win," said Valentino. "It was a great win."
Louisville is now 31-30, while Scranton is 32-29.
