In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Charlotte Knights defeated the Rochester Norsemen, 8-3, at Hustlers Stadium today. Leading the charge for Charlotte was designated hitter Zach Poulin. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Knights improve their record to 31-30 with the win over Rochester.
The Knights got an important contribution from catcher K.J. Nestor, who in the bottom of the second punched a 1-2 sinker into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Knights ahead, 3-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Nestor told the Charlotte Daily. "It's as simple as that."
