Wizards Rocked By Red Sox, 10-0
|
The Pawtucket Red Sox licked the Orlando Wizards, 10-0. Gregory Velero deserved a big chunk of the credit. The shortstop hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Red Sox. Hastings Anderson got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 2. Pawtucket is now 25-40, while Orlando is 34-31.
Early in the game, Velero had a 2-run home run for Pawtucket. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Red Sox on top, 2-0.
Said losing manager Josh Proctor: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
