Stripers Get Close Win Over Oddballs, 8-7
The Gwinnett Stripers outlasted Aaron Bardales and the Ottawa Oddballs, 8-7. Bardales was impressive in the loss. The Ottawa first baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Gwinnett pitcher Jake Scumaci got the win. He's now 2-3. Roger Danton was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Gwinnett sits at 29-46; Ottawa slips to 50-25.

Carlos De La Torre was the walk-off hero for Gwinnett. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stripers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
