The 4-hit performance of V.J. Kwan helped the Buffalo Bisons beat the Gwinnett Stripers, 6-1. The Bisons raised their record to 43-30.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Fergie Thuotte didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Gwinnett trailing 2-1, Thuotte retired Ricky Kemp to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Thuotte, with a wink.
