7-1 Loss to Dundies Extends Toledo Losing Streak
The Toledo Mud Hens had to reckon with Scranton Dundies hurler Shaun Lai. Lai, who is tied for 8th in the IL in innings pitched with 85.2, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-1 Dundies triumph. In 6 innings, Lai surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. With the win, the Dundies improved to 41-34.

Anthony McConnell had a big 2-run double for the Dundies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Scranton leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Matt Telecky and swatted a double to right. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dundies ahead, 4-0.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Scranton manager Johnny Hales.
