Wizards Deal Dundies Painful Loss
|
The Orlando Wizards got a strong performance from pitcher Calvin Wood, who stymied the Scranton offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Orlando Grounds. The Wizards improved their record to 45-29 with the win over Scranton.
The decisive blow was delivered by Rocky Adams in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Charles McBee to win the game for Orlando. The home crowd went nuts.
After the game, Orlando manager Derril Schunemann applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
