Clippers Collect 3-2 Win Over Chiefs
|
The Columbus Clippers topped the Syracuse Chiefs, 3-2, in International League action at Victory Field. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and Struthers, Ohio, native Stuart Kawata. Columbus, at 34-39, sits in 7th place in the International League Southwest Division.
In the top of the 14th, Columbus right fielder Nikolas Williams delivered a solo home run to put his team on top. The Clippers would end up winning the game.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Scott Manning, the Columbus manager.
