Spirited fans greeted the Syracuse Chiefs for their clash with the Columbus Clippers.
The Columbus Clippers topped the Syracuse Chiefs, 4-1, in International League action at Victory Field. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and Memphis, Tennessee, native Jim Kirchhoff. Columbus's record now stands at 35-40, placing them 7th in the International League Southwest Division.
Kirchhoff, now 4-6, scattered 2 hits over 8 innings for the Clippers.
