Bisons Beat Mud Hens, 5-2
|
The Buffalo Bisons topped the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-2, in International League action at Coca-Cola Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Buffalo pitcher Jonah Schunk. Schunk, the winner, moves to 7-1. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. With the victory, the Bisons record now stands at 53-24.
The Bisons got a big at-bat from right fielder B.J. Albers. For the game, Albers was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead.
