Red Sox Win Nail-Biter
|
In a well-pitched game between the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Scranton Dundies, pitcher Soma Yamanouchi was superb. The Pawtucket right-hander helped his team win, 2-1. The winner in relief was Nathan Brashear. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. After today's action, Pawtucket sits at 38-42; Scranton slips to 45-35.
Victor Cuello, the 29-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cuello contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the tenth inning to put Pawtucket up, 2-1.
"We did just enough to win," Cuello said.
