Bisons Come Back Late to Top Stripers, 7-3
The Gwinnett Stripers and Buffalo Bisons were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Gwinnett got a terrific performance from pitcher Joe Velasco, but it wasn't enough to beat the Buffalo Bisons. Buffalo won the Coolray Field contest, 7-3. Velasco threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The Bisons lead the International League Northeast Division by 2 games.

Bernardo Jiménez, the 24-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jiménez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Buffalo up, 2-1.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Jiménez.
