Rochester used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jeffrey Hammonds to down the Durham Bulls, 3-1. Rochester reliever Alfredo Rodriguez picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Bentley Corona absorbed the loss. At 39-48, the Norsemen find themselves in 8th place in the International League Northeast Division.

Had Daryl McKinnon not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, McKinnon hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Norsemen.

McKinnon said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
