Kirchhoff Brilliant as Clippers Top Stripers, 2-1
In a low-scoring affair between the Columbus Clippers and the Gwinnett Stripers, pitcher Jim Kirchhoff was the difference between victory and defeat. The Columbus right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Clippers win. Columbus's record now stands at 44-44, placing them 5th in the International League Southwest Division.

Though he didn't earn the victory, Kirchhoff kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Columbus offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 hits and 1 run, while striking out 10.

"We found a way to get it done," Kirchhoff said.
