Buffalo Coasts to 13-2 Win
|
The Buffalo Bisons soundly defeated the Ottawa Oddballs, 13-2, at Coca-Cola Field, with shortstop Miguel De Leon a major reason why. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Buffalo. Alex Jackson snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 6-2 on the season. The 58-34 Bisons lead the International League Northeast Division by one game.
Left Fielder Bernard Lawson made an impact for Buffalo, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Sawyer Webster in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Lawson was 1-4 with a triple and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs.
"Not the preferred outcome," Ottawa manager Jorge Castillo said, when asked afterward about the game.
