Alba goes 3-for-5 to Fuel Dundies Offense
|
Scranton right fielder Andy Alba had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Norfolk Tides, 6-2. Leeshawn Robinson, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 3-4. Earning his 12th save for Scranton was Jeremiah Masias.
Alba had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a full count sinker from Jaden Doughty, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Dundies a 2-0 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Alba.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Alba told the Scranton Daily News. "But we take nothing for granted."
At 48-42, Scranton is in 4th place in the International League Northeast Division.
