Clippers Win, 2-1, at Louisville
|
The Columbus Clippers did just enough to sneak past the Louisville Bats, 2-1, at Louisville Slugger Field. Columbus pitcher Jimmy Leonard, in particular, had a standout performance. Neville Raab converted his 6th save in 10 tries. The Clippers now have a record of 51-48 with the win over Louisville.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Liam McCurley? The Columbus left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Clippers on top, 2-0. For the game, McCurley had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
McCurley attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
