Stripers Fall Short, 3-2, at Newark
|
Tyler Suter knocked in all 3 runs for the Newark Bears, helping them beat the Gwinnett Stripers, 3-2. Picking up the win was Ty Marquard. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 2. Wayne Wu notched his 2nd save of the season.
Early in the game, Suter had a 2-run home run for Newark. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Bears on top, 2-0.
