Due in large part to shortstop Ford Mallon, the Montgomery Biscuits sunk the Alexandria Aces, 7-1. Mallon went 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Vicente Contreras got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. Bill Bongolan earned his 4th save, after closing out the game.

Montgomery designated hitter Josiah Bareiss contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Biscuits ahead, 3-1.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Mallon told the Montgomery Citizen.

Montgomery now owns a record of 65-29.
