Pizer, Drillers Too Much for Smokies
|
The timely hitting of Bray Pizer helped the Tulsa Drillers down the Tennessee Smokies, 11-9. Pizer was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Drillers. The loss makes Tennessee 43-51.
Tulsa center fielder Maozhen Feng contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 84th hit of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 5-1.
"Good win for us," said Feng. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
