Joe Thompson pitched well, but his team, the Alexandria Aces, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Montgomery Biscuits at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Randy Churchill closed out the game, earning his 9th save. The loss makes Alexandria 55-41.
Montgomery took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Charles Dehner hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Biscuits in front, 4-2.
"Big team win," Dehner said later.
