Poepping Goes Off, But RoughRiders Win
The Frisco RoughRiders spoiled a good performance by Montgomery designated hitter Easton Poepping, bumping off Montgomery, 12-8, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Poepping went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Frisco reliever Layton Drake picked up the win. Cecil Brown took the loss for Montgomery. Frisco has a record of 59-37, placing them second in the Southern League Texas Division.

In the bottom of the sixth, Frisco left fielder Ralph Robinson gave his team the lead. With no one out and the bases loaded, Lord of the Swings hit his 18th home run of the year. Montgomery pitcher Cecil Brown surrendered it. With that, the RoughRiders jumped in front, 10-7.

"Even warm beer tastes good after a win," said Robinson.
