The Midland RockHounds had to overcome a good performance from Arkansas pitcher Gervasio Lastra to claim a 3-1 win at Security Bank Ballpark. Lastra went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Luis Wyche picked up his 8th save of the season. The RockHounds now have a record of 43-56 with the win over Arkansas.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Sebastian Stafford came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Arkansas pitcher Stedman Scott, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Midland on top, 2-1.

"It's good to win," Stafford told the Midland Citizen. "I like to have fun doing it."
