Scouts Earn 3-2 Win Against Flying Squirrels
|
In a low-scoring clash between Chattanooga and St. Petersburg, pitcher Jim Wilder was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 win. Picking up the save was Matt Muller, his 2nd. The Scouts go to 41-57, putting them 5th in the Southern League Southeast Division.
Though he did not get the decision, Wilder did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 8 innings, until Chattanooga eventually rallied past the Flying Squirrels.
"It was terrific getting this win," Wilder said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
