Novinger, Trash Pandas Too Much for RoughRiders
|
The Rocket City Trash Pandas handed the Frisco RoughRiders a 4-2 defeat at Hank Aaron Stadium. Third Baseman Halian Novinger starred for Rocket City. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Conrad De La Cruz, 6-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Rocket City goes to 49-50, Frisco to 56-43.
Novinger had a timely hit for Rocket City in the bottom of the eighth. With Rocket City trailing 2-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Rocket City.
