Behind a solid performance from right fielder Ashton Jones, the Syracuse Chiefs defeated the Ottawa Oddballs, 9-5. Jones was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Chiefs. The save went to Matthew Szymanski, number 4 for him. With the win over Ottawa, the Chiefs improved to 48-69.

Early in the game, Jones had a 2-run double for Syracuse. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Chiefs on top, 2-0.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Chiefs," said Jones.
