The Durham Bulls topped the Buffalo Bisons, 8-2, in International League action at Coca-Cola Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Durham pitcher Welington García. Durham reliever Welington García got the win, raising his record to 3-2. J.R. Conn was tagged with the loss. Durham now owns a record of 70-50.

Bob Hufnagle had a big run-scoring triple for the Bulls in the top of the second inning. With Durham leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher J.R. Conn and swatted a triple to left. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bulls ahead, 3-1.

"I had a good feeling about this game even before we took the field," Hufnagle, who is tied for 7th in the IL with a .326 batting average, told the Durham Today. "I'm glad it wasn't just gas."
