Late Rally Earns Ottawa 3-2 Win
|
In a tight tilt between the Ottawa Oddballs and the Wilkes-Barre Barons, Houston Hollander was the deciding factor. The Ottawa left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Damien Workman, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. The 7th-place Oddballs are 55-63.
Jacob Johnston was the walk-off hero for Ottawa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Oddballs catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Ottawa skipper Jesus Rojas.
