Dickson Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
Pete Dickson really sizzled at the plate in his team's 13-4 win over the Maine Grizzlies. The Columbus third baseman blistered Maine for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Dickson was too tough to get out today," the Grizzlies skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Pete Dickson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rich Baxter in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th.
In the current season, Dickson has put up a .362 batting average with 51 hits, 9 home runs, 34 RBI and scored 32 runs.
