Slumping Bears Lose Again
Another game, another loss for the struggling Newark Bears.

Getting a good performance from first baseman Bill Allen, the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Newark Bears, 7-1. Allen went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for the Bisons. The winner in relief was Randy Bowman. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-3.

Left Fielder Ethan Dillon made an impact for Buffalo, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Adam Conwell in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Dillon was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.

"We're in a rut," said Newark manager Shark McGee.

The misery never ends for the Bears, who've lost 10 in a row.
