Barons Fall, 12-3, to Neverez, Dundies

The Scranton Dundies scored a convincing win at PNC Field, defeating the Wilkes-Barre Barons, 12-3. One of the hitting stars was Hilário Neverez, who is tied for 5th in the IL in hits with 131, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Derek Goldstein got credit for the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 4.2 innings. By defeating Wilkes-Barre, the first-place Dundies improved to 74-50.
With Scranton leading 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Neverez hit a changeup from Dominic Brangan for a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Dundies ahead, 8-3.
"We had that killer instinct," Neverez said after the game.
