Good production from first baseman Eru Puentes helped the Wilkes-Barre Barons topple the Louisville Bats, 5-4. Puentes was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Barons. Wilkes-Barre reliever Alexas Freund got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Gavin Bowens was tagged with the loss. Wilkes-Barre now sits at 74-51, while Louisville falls to 69-56.

Puentes had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the seventh, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Barons went on to win.
