Mud Hens 8-4 Winners Over Rochester
|
Toledo catcher A.J. Bobek had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Rochester Norsemen, 8-4. Wil Michell picked up the win, lifting his record to 12-9 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 5 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Toledo, now 65-70, holds down 7th place in the International League Southwest Division.
With Toledo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Bobek hit a fastball from Reggie Godfrey for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Mud Hens ahead, 4-0.
Toledo manager Peter Carter commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
