Security Service Field was the site of a tense game between the Round Rock Express and Victoria HarbourCats.

The Victoria HarbourCats got a magnificent effort from pitcher Mattie Shelby, who kept Round Rock hitters in check en route to a 3-1 HarbourCats win at Security Service Field. The win leaves Victoria with a record of 1-1.

Shelby was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 1-0. In 8 innings of work, Shelby gave up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 5. The Express were never able to generate much offense.

"Mattie was hitting his spots," said Victoria manager Ricky Ugalde. "It's hard to pitch better than that."
