Edge 5-3 Losers to Honolulu

Fans of the Honolulu ThunderSharks who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Honolulu win over the visiting Edmonton Edge, 5-3. Trent Stivers started for the home team against Kamden Keller. Trent Stivers earned accolades for his performance. Stivers, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs.
Dave Hicks had a big run-scoring double for the ThunderSharks in the bottom of the third inning. With Honolulu leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Kamden Keller and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the ThunderSharks ahead, 2-0.
"I felt great. Had good rhythm with my mechanics," said Stivers.
