Thrilling Victory Pushes ThunderSharks Win Streak to 5
|
Honolulu got a first-rate effort from pitcher Mark Greenland, who frustrated New Orleans hitters en route to a 1-0 ThunderSharks triumph at Zephyr Field. George Runyan nailed down his 2nd save. Honolulu, now 5-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
Honolulu used the timely hitting of Noah Quick to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the ThunderSharks on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Honolulu manager Neil Kuntz said.
