Win Lifts Express to 5-5
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers got a superb performance from pitcher Clinton Penz, but the Round Rock Express still won the game, 7-1. Penz threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The win puts Round Rock at 5-5.
Round Rock used the timely hitting of Kobe Black to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Express ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Black told the Round Rock Citizen.
