Aces Beat Triplets, 1-0
|
Reno starter Lamarr Johnson put a stranglehold on the Evansville offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Aces to a 1-0 win. The save went to Mancio Soto, his 3rd this season. Reno has a mark of 6-5 after the win.
The Aces got a big at-bat from third baseman Donato Santana. For the game, Santana was 2 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Reno a 1-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Johnson said after the game.
