Mentzel Sensational for Goldeyes
The home crowd had a good time watching the Omaha Storm Chasers and Winnipeg Goldeyes get after it.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes got a magnificent effort from pitcher Cullen Mentzel, who kept Omaha hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Goldeyes win at NBT Bank Stadium. The Goldeyes, now 9-5, have been playing some good baseball.

Mentzel's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 3 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 5 hits. Mentzel goes to 1-0 on the year with 11 strikeouts.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Mentzel told the Winnipeg Daily.
