Oklahoma City starter Axel Corriveau put a stranglehold on the Nashville offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Wranglers to a 2-0 win. The winning pitcher was Corriveau, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Oklahoma City goes to 11-9.

One critical moment came with one down in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 1st and the Sounds trailing 2-0, Braylon Hanson retired Sandro Carboni with a good fastball. Carboni struck out.
