Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Lorenzo Figueroa the Honolulu ThunderSharks defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 6-2. Macarena García closed the game out for Honolulu, earning his 1st save. Honolulu sits at 10-9.
Figueroa came through for Honolulu with two out in the bottom of the second. With Honolulu trailing 1-0, Figueroa hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the ThunderSharks up, 2-1.
Said losing manager Brian Hotard: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
