The Reno Aces topped the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 8-6, in Pacific Coast League action at Blues Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Reno pitcher and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, native Owen Boni. Grim Sleva wrapped it up, recording his 5th save. With the win, Reno is 15-5.

Luke Martin had a big bases-clearing triple for the Aces in the bottom of the second inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Luke Bourque and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 4-0.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Martin told the Reno Observer.
