Aces Trip Storm Chasers, 9-1
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Reno Aces and Omaha Storm Chasers.
Jimmy Jay Ericksen was locked and loaded, helping the Reno Aces beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 9-1. In 6 innings, Ericksen surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.
Andrew Alston had a big 2-run double for the Aces in the top of the second inning. With Reno leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Caleb Glover and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 4-0.
"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Tiernan Hayes.
At 14-5, the Aces have played well so far.
