ThunderSharks Clip Storm Chasers, 6-5
|
Omaha second baseman Bryan Schwarz had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Schwarz went 3-4 with 2 home runs, even as Honolulu beat the Storm Chasers, 6-5. The Storm Chasers fall to 8-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2052 season.
Honolulu relied on the hitting of Sergio Sabedra to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the ThunderSharks on top, 6-5. For the game, Sabedra had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I like to lead by example," said Sabedra. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
