Goldeyes Suffer 2-0 Home Defeat
|
The Nashville Sounds reigned over the Winnipeg Goldeyes in damp conditions.
Nashville Sounds starter Thomas Shultz worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 2-0. Samuel Abbott closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Rick Brody? The 26-year old first baseman Brody stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Nashville up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Brody. "But I have better dreams after a win."
The win gives Nashville a record of 12-12.
