Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved 66ers beat the Edge.

Inland Empire left fielder Mateo Matos was a significant contributor in his team's 6-4 triumph over the Edmonton Edge. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the 66ers. Inland Empire pitcher Adam Conwell earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Simon Harper suffered the loss.

Inland Empire took the lead on Matos's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Simon Harper in the bottom of the seventh, made the score 5-4, Inland Empire.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Matos.

The loss lowers the Edmonton record to 9-13.
