Sidewinders Bump Off Isotopes, 9-3
|
The Tucson Sidewinders defeated the Albuquerque Isotopes by the score of 9-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Isaac Reiner. Reiner went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Sidewinders on the day. The win brings the Sidewinders to 14-9, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Reiner had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the fifth when the 27-year old center fielder hit a grand slam home run. The home run gave Tucson the lead, 5-0. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Reiner told the Tucson Daily News.
