With first baseman Patrick Abshire leading the charge, the Inland Empire 66ers defeated the Honolulu ThunderSharks, 7-4, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Abshire, who is tied for 9th in the PCL in runs scored with 17, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a triple. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Nick Thompson earned the save for Inland Empire, his 7th of the year. Inland Empire now has a 3-game win streak.

Derek Williamson aided the Inland Empire cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Abshire told the Inland Empire Daily. "It's as simple as that."
