Sounds 6-0 Losers to Albuquerque
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Albuquerque Isotopes and Nashville Sounds.
The Albuquerque Isotopes knocked off the Nashville Sounds, 6-0, in Pacific Coast League action at First Tennessee Park. Albuquerque pitcher and Tucson, Arizona, native Ginton Hitchcock had an outstanding performance. The win moves Albuquerque to a record of 11-15.
Albuquerque won the game in part because of Jericho Tell. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Isotopes ahead, 3-0. For the game, Tell had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Hitchcock.
